A recent report by Lloyds Bank has revealed that house price growth in areas with top performing state schools has significantly outpaced the rest of the country in the last five years.

House prices have grown by 35% (£104,365) in areas with top performing state schools compared to the average in England of 20% (£49,082).

Edmonton's own Latymer School on Haselbury Road, N9 (ranked 13th out of the top 30) has seen the most growth over 5 years, increasing by 59% to £320,684.

The Huxley Estate and surrounding areas in Edmonton have always been a popular location for residents moving to the N18 and N9 postcodes, and Latymer School is one of the reasons why. We have seen this most recently with sales inBulwer Road,Huxley Road,Henley RoadandLopen Road, along with multiple rental properties being secured by families with school aged children.

“Providing their children with a good education is a priority for most parents and is often on the list of key considerations for families looking to decide where to live." saidAndrew Mason, Lloyds Bank mortgages director.
