Private Rented Property Licensing in Haringey

From the 1st November, a Selective Licensing Scheme starts in Haringey for all Landlords with a privately rented residential property, occupied by one or two persons, or one family households.

This applies to your rented property in the following locations:

  • Bounds Green
  • Bruce Castle
  • Harringay
  • Hermitage and Gardens
  • Noel Park
  • Northumberland Park
  • Seven Sisters
  • South Tottenham
  • St Ann's
  • Tottenham Central
  • Tottenham Hale
  • West Green
  • White Hart Lane
  • Woodside

We therefore advise all Landlords to check to see if their private rented property needs a licence.

Selective Licensing is now open for applications. Apply before 11.59pm on 16 November 2022 to receive an early application discount by CLICKING HERE.

Landlords must apply for a licence for each property they rent out in the above areas and the fee for a selective licence fee is £600 (£350 application fee, and £250 enforcement costs). The £250 will be discounted if your application is made before the 17th November 2022.

Please also remember, If you rent a property in any part of Haringey to three or more people from two or more households, whom of which are sharing facilities, you are committing an offence if you have not applied for a HMO licence.
